Current Work
Our active investigations into data misuse by major platforms and companies.
We conduct forensic technical research to expose data violations and take legal action on behalf of our members. Here's what we're working on now.

Broken Consent Systems
Cookie banners that lie
Our research shows most cookie consent banners ignore your choices. Companies track you regardless of what you click. We're using our DREDDGER crawler and DataGator tool to document violations across thousands of UK websites. This evidence supports legal action against consent management platforms and website publishers.

Health Data Tracking
Your prescriptions shared with advertisers
We've discovered that major UK pharmacy chains share NHS prescription data through tracking pixels. Menstrual tracking apps with millions of UK users send intimate health information to advertisers. Your medical data should never be sold or shared without explicit consent.

Addictive Gaming Design
Children targeted with gambling mechanics
Major gaming platforms use behavioral tracking and addictive design features to keep children playing. Loot boxes, trapped currencies, and variable rewards function as gambling. 91% of children aged 3-15 play online games - they deserve protection.

Social Media Algorithms
Platforms that damage mental health
Major social media platforms track non-users and use algorithms designed to maximize engagement at any cost. Rising rates of eating disorders, self-harm, and suicide among young people are linked to these platforms. We're supporting victims' families and researching claims for toxic content.

Security Software Selling Your Data
When protection becomes surveillance
Some security software providers, marketed as privacy protection tools, have been caught selling users' browsing data to advertisers. Security tools should protect you, not profit from your information. We're investigating similar practices across the security software industry.
Your Car Is Watching You
Vehicle telemetry data collection
Modern cars collect detailed data about your driving habits, locations, and behavior. This information is often sold to data brokers and insurers without clear consent. Through our Privacy4Cars partnership, we're investigating automotive data practices.

Major Data Breaches
Tech companies and platform vulnerabilities
We use AI analytics to assess data breach risks and provide early warnings to members. Recent breaches affecting millions of UK citizens demonstrate the need for better security practices and meaningful penalties for negligence.
